About Guidey Learning Materials
Guidey Learning Materials is a free library of printable worksheets and activity books for children in KG and Grades 1 and 2 in Sri Lanka.
We started this site after talking to parents of young children. Many were looking for Sinhala letter practice with a simple word for each letter, English and maths worksheets that match what their child does at school, and fun activity books on nature, animals, the human body and robots. Good materials were hard to find, often expensive, or not made for Sri Lankan children.
What we make
- Sinhala vowel and consonant tracing books, and picture word cards
- English alphabet, phonics and sight word worksheets
- Maths: counting, numbers, addition and shapes
- Activity books on nature, Sri Lankan wildlife, the human body and robotics
How we create materials
Every worksheet is designed by our team for this site. We follow the order that Sri Lankan pre-schools and primary classes use, keep pages simple and print-friendly, and test them with children before publishing. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it.
Who this site is for
This website is written for parents, guardians and teachers. Children should use the printed pages with a grown-up. We do not ask children for any personal information.
How the site is funded
The materials are free because the site shows a small number of advertisements on its English pages. Ads are non-personalised and suitable for a family audience. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
Coming next
We are working on more books and, later, a small set of premium printable packs. The free library will always stay free.
