What's inside
- A cover page your child can colour and write their name on
- 26 letter pages with capital and small letters
- Four-line writing guides like the ones used in Sri Lankan Grade 1 copy books
- A simple word for every letter, from Apple to Zebra
Skills your child practises
- Capital and small letter recognition

- Pencil control
How to use it at home
- Work through the letters in order, or start with the letters in your child's name, which children find more exciting.
- Ask your child to say the letter name and its sound, for example 'B says b, b, ball'.
- After tracing, let your child find the same letter in a newspaper or storybook.
Printing tips
- Print on A4 paper at 100% (actual size), not 'fit to page'.
- Black-and-white printing is fine; children will add the colour.
- Slip pages into a plastic sleeve and use a whiteboard marker to reuse them many times.
