What's inside

  • 10 large, simple colouring pages with thick outlines
  • A fact card for each animal: where it lives, what it eats and one surprising fact
  • Animal names in Sinhala and English
  • A 'where do I live?' matching page: forest, sea, river or town

Skills your child practises

  • Colouring and fine motor control
  • Animal vocabulary in two languages
  • Learning about habitats
  • Caring for nature

How to use it at home

  • Read the fact card aloud before your child starts colouring, then ask one question about it afterwards.
  • If you visit a zoo or national park, take the finished pages and tick off the animals you see.
  • Talk about why we must protect wild animals and never feed or disturb them.

Printing tips

  • Print on A4 paper at 100% (actual size), not 'fit to page'.
  • Black-and-white printing is fine; children will add the colour.
  • Slip pages into a plastic sleeve and use a whiteboard marker to reuse them many times.
