How to use it at home
- Grow a green gram (mung) seed on wet cotton wool alongside the diary pages. It sprouts in a day or two.
- Take the book on a walk in the garden and find a root, a stem, a leaf and a flower.
- Talk about which parts of a plant we eat: we eat the root of a manioc plant but the fruit of a mango tree.
Printing tips
- Print on A4 paper at 100% (actual size), not 'fit to page'.
- Black-and-white printing is fine; children will add the colour.
- Slip pages into a plastic sleeve and use a whiteboard marker to reuse them many times.
